More Information In 1910, Salvation Army Founder, William Booth, was invited by Baden Powell to be a member of the governing body of world Scouting. In 1913, Booth founded the Life Saving Scout Movement as a part of the Salvation Army. Whilst internationally, the Movement is still going strong, in the UK it merged with the Scout Association in 1948. This Group probably was a former Life Saving Scout Group. According to the records, the neckerchief was scarlet with a special badge on the point. The badge is probably as shown here.

Neckerchiefs: Purists may wish to argue the colours of some of the neckerchiefs.
Over the years, descriptions in the records could change eg gold becoming amber becoming yellow.
Also, as today, manufacturing variations could occur.
Meeting Places: Unless otherwise stated, the meeting places listed are those of the Troop.
Whilst the information is in the records, no attempt has been made here to record the various schools,
huts, dens, lofts and grottos in which the other sections met.
If you are seeking further information about specific Groups or can offer corrections,
please contact the archivists.
