Silver Badge/Medal. The rear is engraved 'Presented to P L E Hewertson by his Brother Scouts as a token of respect. 1st Darnall (Sheffield) BP Scouts'. It is hallmarked MK(?)S with an anchor, lion and the letter W. The 1st Darnall (Sheffield) BP Scouts probably dates it to before Scouting in Sheffield came under Sheffield Local Association of Boy Scouts ie somewhere between 1908 and 1910. It is probable that the Troop subsequently became the 2nd Darnall (Sheffield) Scout Troop. There is no record of a P L E Hewertson. |
