Standing Camp Site at Hollow Meadows with permission of Duke of Norfolk.
Issue of Sheffield Drill Handbook.

Synopsis 4th Annual Report – September 1914
Rally and Exhibition 18/7 Owlerton football ground attended by the Chief Scout. Exhibition of Scout crafts at Corn Exchange 16th to 18th. One object to establish a Headquarters fund.
Establishment of headquarters shelved due to outbreak of war.
Clothing scheme flourishing. Swimming nights commenced at Corporation Baths.
Formation of first Wolf Cub packs – 2nd / 5th / 6th / 7th / 9th / 27th / 36th / 38th / 39th / 43rd / 46th / 54th / 55th.
Scout “war” service commenced assisting police with messenger and general service duty and guarding waterworks premises.

Synopsis 5th Annual Report – September 1915
City divided into 5 districts with a District Scoutmaster in each
“Scout” war service continued but the guarding of waterworks premises ceased. Scouts entertained for wounded soldiers at Westbrook House. Scout Mobilisation Scheme opened giving service in the city with police and fire brigade.
Visit of Chief Scout. (Not dated) All Scout Masters and PL’s entertained with the Chief by the Master Cutler.
Headquarters fund invested in War Loan Stock and plans for a headquarters put on hold .

War losses and roll of honour. Notably death of Lt. E.Y. Priestman (16th).

Synopsis 8th Annual Report – October 1918
Special parade to support “Cruiser Week“.
Film “Boy Scouts – Be Prepared” shown at Victoria Hall.
Scouts acted as volunteer firemen. Anti-Aircraft Gun and searchlight team formed by 11th Pitsmoor Troop took part in live test firing practices.
